Sammy

Sammy is the name I have given the GIGANTIC gecko that is in my room right now. I wish I could get a picture of him but he is too quick, and whenever he comes out I start screaming so I'm sure that isn't helping the situation any. I am not sure why I freak out so much, I guess it's just a knee-jerk reaction when I see something crawly because I can't really control myself. But I am working on it and even though he eats the bugs I hope he doesn't make my room his "hang-out" for too long. Because I am not sure how I feel about sharing my bed with a gecko, actually I take that back I AM sure how I feel about sharing my bed with a gecko, it totally creeps me out!!

Here We Go

So I am here in Hawaii, and with some encouragement from one of my best friends I have decided to create a blog about my time here in this beautiful state. I am excited, it will be nice to keep everyone updated. I will probably be writing once a week... maybe that will be my sunday afternoon activity!

I guess I'll get started with some basic info about my life right now. I am at BYUH and my wonderful roommate and I have been graciously crammed into a room designed for 1 person. Needless to say, we have a lack of space. This would be a bigger issue if we didn't get along so well. She has been great about the whole thing, we have both been good about sharing the space and I am glad to report that we have had no disagreements so far!!

I am only taking 13 credits right now, I underestimated my ability to cope with homework. I have my fair share of free time but that has been nice, because it has been kind a rough semester for me. But I think I am going to be signing up for more credits next semester, and we'll see how well that goes.

I guess that's it for me this week. If i give away too much I wont have anything to right about next week!!
